The USS Salt Lake City was a World War II-era heavy cruiser many thought had been lost to history. This year, Utah Athletics will shine a light on its forgotten remarkable story.
The Utes pay tribute to this accomplished WWII heavy cruiser. These pieces feature the distinctive camouflage design from the warship that earned 11 battle stars.
The Utah men’s and women’s basketball programs pay homage to the USS Salt Lake City and her crew with customized Under Armour jerseys on Thursday, Feb. 24, in a double-header with the women taking on Oregon State at 5:30 p.m. before the men battle Arizona at 9 p.m. inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
The Utah baseball team will pay homage to the USS Salt Lake City and her crew with custom baseball caps for the upcoming 2022 season. These hats will be available for purchase as season tickets for the upcoming season for $25.
